The U.S. Air Force took an initiative and filed a metaverse trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The trademark is for a VirtualReality space called Space Verse and it’s intended to provide a simulated training and testing environment.

“The trademark describes SpaceVerse as ‘a secure digital metaverse that converges terrestrial and space physical and digital realities and provides synthetic and simulated extended-reality (XR) training, testing, and operations environments’.”
